The Purple Zombie is an artificial man made from dead human tissue. He is the creation of two medical scientists, Doctor Hale and Doctor Malinsky. Hale was a benevolent man and wanted to use "the invention...to prolong life, not to revive the dead." Malinsky was evil, and wanted to create armies of zombies and become "ruler of the living and the dead." Malinsky shoots Hale to death. Malinsky is then strangled by the Purple Zombie, who goes on to kill Malinsky’s criminal gang.
- SUPER ABILITY (Astounding): The Purple Zombie has Astounding Strength.
- SUPER ABILITY (Astounding): Purple Zombie's physical form is an electrochemical miracle, neither living nor dead. This gives him Astounding Endurance.
- RESISTANCE (DAMAGE) (Fantastic): The Purple Zombie is robustly bulletproof, shrugging off attacks by firearms that would count as small arms such as pistols and even the effects of successful attacks by some modern assault rifles and battle rifles. However, if his Resistance (Damage) once overcome means he would be slaughtered by many modern weapons.
- LIFE SUPPORT (Astounding): The Purple Zombie does not need to eat, drink or sleep.

The Purple Zombie has had time travel adventures so there are a few historical figures who are his Contacts should he ever find himself in their home time period once more. He is also a veteran of World War 2 having fought for the allies from August 1940 to October 1945. He has reasonable good government contacts since the USA has never found reason to stop sending him on the occasional mission.

Notes:
The Purple Zombie is a brave, heroic and sympathetic character. He is quite prepared to kill evil-doers and accept the karma loss. Very different from popular conception of a zombie, he is intelligent and articulate.
