Items are listed in sections based on cost.

Cost of items can be Cheap, Average, Expensive, Luxurious or Ridiculous. These costs roughly equate to a +1RS on the roll on Wealth to buy them, no modification on the Wealth roll, +1RS on the Wealth roll, +2RS on the Wealth roll and +3RS on the Wealth roll. No Item is remotely as expensive as some weapons will be.

In the Wealth article on this site the concept of Quality is introduced. This is very applicable to Items. Some of the exotic Items may only be available secondhand from Police auctions, Scrapyards or Private auctions. Likewise some Items listed here would have to be bought "hot" on the Black Market.

Items of all kinds, including very occasionally valuable items, turn up at flea markets, open air markets, street stalls, state fairs, jumble sales, church fetes and other unexpected places. One more common type of disposal sale or fire sale where more unusual things show up relatively frequently is a liquidator selling all the plant and equipment of a repossessed building. If the building was in use by a superhero or supervillain there's no predicting what might have been overlooked or left behind.

Mixed in with the current day items are some old fashioned and ancient items. These are in the correct bracket of cost for their home time and in most cases for various reasons may well also be the same sort of cost, perhaps with a -1RS penalty, in present day.

ARMOR is listed among the Items. This is because outside of combat it is "clothing" and therefore an item type. Unless otherwise noted, all armor has a material strength of Fantastic, although it may well not provide Fantastic protection to the character wearing it. To make ARMOR easier to find all ARMOR entries have ARMOR in capital letters leading the entry. Almost all armor is ablative; this means that as it protects, it will be worn or broken away bit by bit. Each time an armor item provides its protection, it loses 1 point from its Rank. This will gradually of course drop it down the Ranks.

Armor ratings accumulate as long as they are worn on different parts of the body or can be worn over each other. For example wearing both a Knight's helmet and a Knight's suit of armor provides armor of 14 (Decent): Bad protection from the helmet plus Decent protection from the suit.

As with any list of items for a game, and especially a game like FASERIP which is quite abstract in its concepts in some cases, no list can ever be complete. The hope is that the Items listed below are varied and numerous enough to answer most questions directly, and allow players and gamemaster to quickly assess what kind of Wealth roll will be needed for other stuff people want for their characters. The Items also give a good picture of the Karma to be earned for stopping their theft - or for stealing them as a supervillain!

PETS: Live animals have a cost of Average, modified by -1RS on the Wealth roll to purchase for each statistic they have that is higher Rank than Decent. For example an Animal with Decent or less for all statistics but one, and that one is World Class, has a statistic two Ranks higher than Decent making it a -2RS on the Wealth roll to purchase. If it had two statistics at World Class, it would be -4RS on the Wealth roll. CREATURES are not possible to buy legally anywhere but can be procured. The same cost modifers applies to them, but they all begin at Ridiculous cost.

Eyeglasses, 3-D	Cardboard glasses with diffraction lenses that convert blurred 3-D images and videos into 3-D effect pictures or footage.
Eyeglasses, Joke Open Eyes	Cardboard glasses with “funny” painted open eyes on the lenses. Seeing out of them is possible. When worn they stop any effect on the character that requires eye to eye contact.
Fast Food	Hot dog, bagel with a schmear, meat pie, fish and chips, tortilla, taco, nachos, cheeseburger and similar
Fast Food Pizza	Allegedly feeds four people, more like two or one hungry guy. Provides equivalent of one meal for four people.
Grass Skirt	As worn by Hula dancers.
Haircut, Basic	Hair cut professionally - just reduces length and neatens it up.
Hammock	Suspended sling big enough to lie in, allowing the character to sleep rough off the ground by tying the hammock to available trees or structures. Can also simply be suspended in the garden for a nice nap.
Rations (one week)	Poor quality survival food such as military rations like MRE (Meals Ready to Eat aka Three Lies In One), dry tack, trail mix, biscuits, nuts, dried fruit and so on.
Suit of crummy clothes	Basic slob wear such as track suit and sneaker, T-shirt and cheap jeans with basketball shoes, or a cheap nylon suit and shirt with clip on tie and slip on shoes.
Tchochke	Cheap toy, pet toy, plastic doll or "action figure" or similar detritus of modern society.
Umbrella or Parasol (sun umbrella)	Flimsy folding shield against rain, wind or snow. Provides Terrible armor protection. Terrible material strength.
Zippo Lighter Fluid	Fully recharges one Zippo Cigarette Lighter.

ARMOR: Breastplate	Provides Decent armor and if the character wearing it is stabbed, cut or shot by a firearm in the chest, provides World Class armor. This is a steel decorated or cloth covered breatplate with leather or nylon straps to secure it around a character's body. It could be ancient, Medieval, Renaissance or a modern day stab jacket or bulletproof vest. It has no other special features.
ARMOR: Viking Helmet	Horned or Winged Helmet. Provides Decent armor.
Baseball Cap	Basic baseball cap.
Bedroll	Sleeping Bag or equivalent allowing the character to sleep rough or go camping.
Binoculars	Increases range of sight by times 10. Normal range of sight for a human might be 2 miles; with binoculars this becomes 20 miles.
Book	Fiction or nonfiction, a standard mass market book.
Bottle of Beer or single drink (beer) in a bar	Beer in a bottle is always cheaper to buy than in a bar or beer on tap. You pay extra for the "service!"
Bottle of Domestic Wine or single glass of wine in a bar	Cheap red or white wine, sparkling (fizzy) or not. Wine in a bottle is always cheaper than being served a glass in a restaurant or bar.
Can of Paint and Paintbrush	Enough paint to paint an entire large room.
Carpet (per room)	thick carpet, fills floor of one large room. Permanently fixed to floor.
Car Rental	Renting a standard four door four cylinder car for 24 hours. +1RS difficulty for each extra day of the rental is requested.
Cell Phone and 1 year plan for calls and text	Includes basic internet access. Most secret organizations and all intelligence services can track this phone wherever it is on Earth within one mile of its location.
Cigarette Lighter, Zippo	Will make a tiny flame 500 times before running out of lighter fluid. Reputed to be inextinguishable under normal circumstances.
Cloak or Hooded Cloak	Thin fabric cloak covering the character head to toe. Does not negate any weather effect and isn't insulated against cold.
Cooking Gear	Pot, spoons, bowls and a basic small peeling knife.
Cosy Cottage	A brick walled and tile roofed cottage, ground floor apartment or small house which has eight rooms with a fireplace and chimney or central heating as well as a tiny cellar underground.
Crate	Wooden box able to hold any item of size and weight of a human or smaller. For larger crates, each size Rank larger than human inflicts a -1RS penalty on the roll on Wealth to purchase.
Digital Camera	Can take 60 minutes of video or 1500 pictures. Can connect to a computer or cell phone by cable or using wi-fi.
Diner Meal	main course, sweet pie or cake and coffee and refills. Main course is meat or egg over easy plus a side and fries or creamed vegetable. Enough nourishment to keep someone going for 8 hours or so.
Eyeglasses, Racing or Steampunk Goggles	Bug-eyed glasses set in a leather strap. They prevent fast moving wind or bugs from getting in the eyes when travelling at high speed on an exposed Vehicle such as a motorcycle.
Grappling Hook	World Class material strength steel hook or anchor, attached to a rope can be used to give +2RS bonus to Climbing and Binding type rolls.
Grocery Shopping (one week)	Supermarket items to feed two people for one week.
Haircut, Stylish	Hair cut professionally - reduces length, neatens it and adds a definite style.
Jewellery	Shiny pretty decorative item plated in a precious metal. Engagement and weddings rings included.
Leather Boots	Provides Terrible armor protection.
Lock and Key	A metal Lock, a mechanical device that will close a door to its frame or a lid to its box, together with a Key – a metal object that is put into the Lock, turned, and in the process opens whatever the Lock has been attached to, allowing a door or chest to be opened. Lock and Key can also be used to attach chain together or to shackle a victim to chains. Once locked either the full material strength of the Lock (World Class) must be inflicted to open the Lock, or it must be picked using Lockpicks.
Lockpicks	Small metal rods used to pick Locks and simulate the use of a Key.
Meal, Fast Food	One meal for one person at a fast food drive thru or in restaurant dining.
Laptop or Desktop Computer	Good quality personal computer with suite of useful software pre-installed when purchased.
Saddle	Fitted for a specific sort of riding animal be it horse, dinosaur, elephant, giant seahorse or zebra. Confers a +2RS bonus on all rolls to stay on the riding animal.
Saddlebags	Can carry up to 100 Ibs. of items, Loot, etc. and do not restrict the movement rate of the riding animal on whom they are attached. Requires saddle to attach them however. Can also be fitted to a motorcycle.
Signal Flags	Flags for semaphore code or football signalling communication.
Suit of normal clothes	Clean, neat and well made casual clothes and shoes.
Wide Leather Belt	The sort of leather brace worn by weightlifters, old time circus strongmen, wrestling champions (where it is gradually decorated with the medals and trophy shields they win as a Championship Belt) and so on.

HOWEVER, if it provides protection successfully, the wearer is not hurt by an arrow or bolt attack, the missile does not penetrate the armor and does NO damage. Not strong enough to be bulletproof. Brigandine does not affect Agility based rolls.
ARMOR: Chainmail Bikini	This armor is a chainmail bikini, a loincloth and a chainmail sheet covering the groin and buttocks. Unless worn by an Amazon or other powerful female hero or villain who has as part of their powers the ability to obtain full armor protection from this costume, it provides Terrible armor to the wearer. Worn by an Amazon, etc. it provides Great armor.
ARMOR: Jack of Plates	This armor is a leather harness and short skirt with metal plates attached all over it as well as straps with plates covering the shoulder, elbows and knees. It provides Bad armor to the wearer.
ARMOR: Knight's Helmet	This is a metal helmet that completely encloses the head, concealing identity completely. As worn by a Medieval or Renaissance knight. The crest, feathers or decoration of the helmet will be tailored to the exact specifications of the buyer. It provides Bad armor to the wearer. Does not include helmet, sold separately. Awareness and Investigation type rolls are made with a -1RS penalty when wearing this armor.
ARMOR: Knight's Suit of Armor	This is a metal suit of armor as worn by a Medieval or Renaissance knight. It provides Decent armor to the wearer. Does not include helmet, sold separately. Agility rolls are made with a -1RS penalty when wearing this armor.
ARMOR: Leather Mankini and Cloak	This armor is a leather jockstrap, suspenders and loincloth with attached leather collar and cotton cloak. Unless worn by a Gargarian or other testosterone fuelled he-man hero or villain who has part of their powers the ability to obtain full armor protection from this costume, it provides Terrible armor for the wearer. Worn by a Gargarian, etc. it provides Great armor.
ARMOR: SHIELD: Circular Shield	Provides Great armor. Can be hidden behind with a successful Agility roll.
ARMOR: SHIELD: Forearm Guard	Provides Terrible armor.

Bedroll, Arctic	Insulated stitched leather groundsheet and sleeping bag lined with soft fur and with a flap to cover the face so that the whole body is covered when sleeping in frozen conditions. Negates effects of bad weather especially cold.
Bespoke Jewellery	Hand-made shiny pretty decorative item plated in a precious metal with chain that may be solid precious metal.

Camping Gear	Tent, pots, pans, backpack, rope and tools allowing for two people to sleep in a tent and survive in wilderness conditions.
Cargo Pod	Bulletproof plastic and metal box able to hold any item of size and weight of a human or smaller. For larger crates, each size Rank larger than human inflicts a -1RS penalty on the roll on Wealth to purchase.
Car Wash and Detailing	Automated car wash, one use on one vehicle including exotic vehicles, large vehicles and Alien vehicles.
Cloak, Lined or Hooded Cloak, Lined	Thick and heavy fabric cloak covering the character head to toe. Lined and insulated, this cloak offers Decent armor protection against heat and fire as well as ice, snow and cold effects. Thick enough to serve as a groundsheet to sleep upon.
Cosmetics Case	Every kind of eye shadow, rouge, lipstick, cosmetic putty, false eyelashes, wig and exotic similar items. Confers +1RS bonus on any Disguise related rolls. Can also be used to enhance beauty or Disguise a blemish or prominent facial feature temporarily.
Cosmetic Surgery	Corrective or purely cosmetic surgery such as breast size alteration, serious blemish removal, scar remediation, nose jobs, and so on.
Cosplay type Costume	This is a complete outfit for dressing up in public as your favorite hero or villain -- or indeed an actual stitched cloth costume FOR a hero or villain. It doesn't provide any armor protection.
Creature Food (one week)	Food for an exotic, Alien, expensive, pampered or very large pet or Steed, including for example Horses, Giant Eagle and Pegasi.
Decorative Rug	Decorated thick rug, fills floor of one large room.
Diesel Fuel (one week's worth of fuel for one truck)	Fuel for trucks, heavy vehicles, generators and ships.
Diesel Generator	Generates enough electricity to run four household appliances. Requires Diesel fuel for each two days of continuous operation.

Fancy Hat	Any kind of well made and very unusual hat or head dress such as a Wizard's pointed Hat, Pirate Hat, Black Silk Top Hat, Native American feathered war bonnet, Giant mouse ears, Beer dispensing cap fitted with two large plastic containers of beer, and so on.
Formal wear	Complete head to toe outfit for formal occasion such as dress and shoes, black tie and shoes or military dress uniform.
Furniture	Loung, Sofa set, Dining Table, Comfy Armchair or any other large item of furniture.
Ghillie Suit	Camouflage suit with veiled hat or hood. Camouflage is extremely good, giving +6RS bonus on rolls to hide or attack from surprise when in a natural environment matching its camouflage. Ghillie Suits for urban terrain and ruins are also available at same cost.
House	A brick walled and tile roofed building which has sixteen rooms, a garage, a garden and a fireplace and chimney or central heating as well as a cellar underground.
International Air Ticket (includes return)	Return ticket to any destination on Earth accessible by commercial air services.
International Cargo Delivery	Sending a package of up to Average Weight anywhere on Earth accessible by commercial air services.
Lifejacket	Bright fluorescent orange or yellow plastic floatation device worn like a waistcoat. It makes it impossible for the wearer to sink in water and gives a +4RS bonus on any roll to avoid drowning.
Keep or Bunker	A tower three storeys high (Keep) or concrete pit with stairs and elevator three storeys deep underground (Bunker) made out of thick stone blocks and steel reinforced concrete. It has an interior stone staircase leading up the middle to each level and four small rooms on the ground floor, three on the upper floor and two on the top floor. The roof of the Keep is flat, and sturdily supported so as to be able to house a large defensive weapon or allow helicopters, VTOL aircraft and Dragons to land. The Bunker has some form of bottom level access, whether it is to an underground river, sewer system, concealed subway station or tunnels with a Mole Machine parked up.
Lock and Key, Electronic	A metal or plastic keybad or card reader, a device that will close and lock a door to its frame or a lid to its box, together with an Electronic Key – a plastic card or secret code that is put into the keypad or card reader and in the process opens whatever the Lock has been attached to, allowing a door or chest to be opened. Electronic Lock and Key can also be used to attach chain together or to shackle a victim to chains. Once locked either the full material strength of the Lock (World Class) must be inflicted to open the Lock, or it must be picked using an Electronic Lockpick.
Lockpick, Electronic	Battery operated electronic hacking device that can pick Electronic Lock and Key installations.
Meal, Fast Food, Group Order	One meal for six people at a fast food drive thru or in restaurant dining.
Medical Services (per procedure)	One consultation and operation or medical procedure is covered.
Musical Instrument	Well made item for use by professional musician.
Restaurant Meal	Good quality meal for two people with table service. Can be of a foreign cuisine such as Italian, French, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and so on, or just 'modern' food.
Scene Outfit	Complete outfit including underwear and shoes appropriate to a specific subculture or "Scene" such as Goth, Heavy Metal, BDSM, Ounk, 80s Retro, Fascist, Communist, Evangelical Christian, Live Action Role Player (LARPer), Elvis Impersonator and so on. Provides no armor protection.
Specialist Kit	Gives +1RS bonus on a specific Speciality or Talent.
Talented Hireling (one week)	The full time employed services of a person with a Talent or Speciality. In all other respects the person is Average. This is an employee and only an employee, they will not in any normal circumstances do more than turn up to work, work, and go home.
Telescope	Increases range of sight by times 100. Normal range of sight for a human might be 2 miles; with a telescope this becomes 200 miles, limited only by the curvature of the Earth as applicable.
Textbook	Nonfiction book dealing with a Talent or Speciality as its subject matter. Study of such a textbook allows the learning of a new Talent or Speciality provided other requirements for improvement are met.
Veterinarian Bag	Gives +1RS bonus on all Veterinarian rolls.
Veterinarian Services (per procedure)	One consultation and operation or medical procedure for an animal is covered.

LUXURIOUS ITEMS

Abandoned European Castle	A set of four towers (see Keep – above) connected by four stone walls, each wall being 30 feet tall and 40 feet wide at the base narrowing to 10 feet tall on top of the wall. In the middle of one of the walls is a Double Gate – Phenomenal material strength wooden doors bound in metal. Underground directly beneath the castle is a Dungeon constructed from four Prisons (see Prison – below). The entrance to the Dungeon is a set of stone steps leading from the courtyard – the area within the four walls, down underground.
Antique Jewellery	Hand-made shiny pretty decorative item made out of solid precious metals and decorated with genuine gemstones.
ARMOR: Scale Armor	Suit of armor covering character from neck to toe. Suit is heavy cloth and straps completely covered in flexible metal scales resembling fish scales or snake scales. Provides Decent armor, World Class armor against arrows, crossbow bolts and spears.
Bottle of real Champagne or single glass of champagne in a bar	Champagne (as in real French Champagne) in a bottle is expensive but still always cheaper to buy than in a bar. You pay extra for the "service!"
Cocktail	A single elaborate mixed drink served in a special way in a bar or restaurant.
International Air Ticket, Unlimited (includes return)	Return ticket to any destination on Earth.
International Cargo Delivery, Unlimited	Sending a package of up to Average Weight anywhere on Earth.
Invasive Cosmetic Surgery (recasting the character)	At the conclusion of the many surgeries required which take a year to complete, the character is completely transformed in all outward physical attributes - different height, weight, hair color, skin color (if desired), eye color, general appearance, face - everything. If the gamemaster allows it this can even include changing outward appearance of sex.
Laboratory	Allows Invention and the Building of Devices. The laboratory is specialized for use by a specific type of scientist or other inventor and is not able to be used by anyone else unless they are using the same powers and skills as the original user.
Mansion	A brick walled and decorated roofed building which has 32 rooms, a 6 car garage, extensive gardens and a fireplace and chimney or central heating and air conditioning as well as a wine cellar and basement laundry underground.
One bedroom Apartment in London, Sydney or Manhattan	A small cramped apartment with all the modern conveniences and private elevator and stairs access, overlooking the central busy part of a great capital city or bustling harbor with nightlife.
Organ Transplant Surgery	Replacing a heart, lung, liver, spleen, bladder, kidney or other organ. At gamemaster's option since this is a comic book game could include brain transplant but only if the surgery is performed by a super powered character. There is a 10% unmodifiable chance that the patient will die during surgery.
Party for 50 People	Day or night event for 50 people with DJ or better music, food, basic alcohol included, marquee or catered dining room with dance floor, two waiters and a cook or chef on site. The food usually is either a lot of finger food, a roast meat of some kind on a spit or a variety of pastas, hors d'oeuvres and snacks. The party is bought and paid for for 6 hours or until the venue shuts. After 8 hours a Popularity or persuasion roll of some kind will be required to keep the venue open. Or a big bribe.
Private Spaceflight (fake)	A flight into the upper atmosphere of Earth at or just beyond the technical border of the atmosphere and space but more likely well short of it. In effect a huge and pointless parabolic flight. Return trip included. No luggage is permitted; any luggage or gear to be taken is another ticket payment meaning two rolls not one to obtain the service.
Part ownership in a racehorse	Sound investment? Character owns between a quarter and one twelfth of a racehorse and is officially part of an Owners Syndicate, entitled to attend race meetings and enter inside the off-limits areas as well as have their own private box to watch races or hold functions.
Prison	A prison is a squat cube building made out of thick stone blocks. Inside are six Giant sized Cages each fitted with a Lock and Key forming the cells as well as the equivalent of two Cosy Cottages where the guards live and work.
Rare Book	One of the last known copies of a book that was rare to begin with. Centuries-old books all fall in this category as do relatively common ancient texts such as clay tablets, fragments of papyrus scrolls from the late period of Ancient Egypt and so on.
Servo-Robot	A clunky humanoid robot. Its statistics are Average other than Great Strength and Great Endurance. The robot speaks in an obviously artificial voice. It can be programmed with any one Talent or Speciality when purchased.
Snooty Restaurant Meal	Good quality meal for two people with table service. Can be of a foreign cuisine such as Italian, French, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and so on, or just 'modern' food. The waiters are snootier, the restaurant has nicer decorations. Sometimes the food is better than cheaper food. Sometimes.

Its statistics are Average other than World Class Strength and Great Endurance. The android can be made to appear as an exact duplicate of a specific living human or a historical figure, or just a kind of generic "real person."
Private Island (1d10 miles diameter)	An island that the character can buy and own outright. It could be in one of the Great Lakes, off the Atlantic or Pacific Coast, in the South Pacific or the Antarctic, or off the coast of Canada or Australia, or anywhere else desired. When bought it is wilderness and beaches with nothing more than debris and flotsam and jetsam. Or so it seems...
Private Spaceflight (real)	A flight into Earth orbit outside the atmosphere in a rocket propelled spaceship of some kind. Return trip included. No luggage is permitted; any luggage or gear to be taken is another ticket payment meaning two rolls not one to obtain the service. For spacefaring characters, the ship they ride on will allow them to exit through an airlock but the spaceship will only orbit twice before picking them up again.
Racehorse	Sound investment? Character owns a racehorse and is officially director of an Owners Syndicate, entitled to attend race meetings and enter inside the off-limits areas as well as have their own private box to watch races or hold functions. Owning a racehorse requires the character to also own a Stable, a Training Yard, a Horse Float (giant trailer) and at worst a Modern Utility Truck to pull the Horse Float. An Expensive level roll will be required each week for the horse's feed and upkeep including veterinarian fees, farrier fees and stable hand wages.
Restaurant Meal in Restaurant with a waiting list	Good quality meal for two people with table service. Can be of a foreign cuisine such as Italian, French, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and so on, or just 'modern' food. This Restaurant and its celebrity Chef has such a reputation that it is impressive just to get the chance to eat there. You don't get to choose your meal either, you eat what the Chef prepares.
