MOLEMEN Green-Skinned Subterranean Race from St. Martin's Land

Subterranea is the interconnected set of realms deep below the earth. Some of the realms are Refuges, some are cave systems filled with monsters and some are kingdoms or microstates. The Molemen have two large kingdoms, one on either side of the Atlantic. On the Western side of the Atlantic, centered under England is the Moleman kingdom of St. Martin's Land. In Africa under the Congo River at Zongo Falls, a large geological feature and set of waterfalls, is the Molemen Kingdom known as Molerea.

St. Martin's Land is ruled by King Stiggo, who claims descent from both the ancient high race of Molemen and Prester John. Molerea is ruled by Queen Moletta.

Molemen are a green skinned race of humans that live to be 300 or more years old. Their Kid Age runs from Zero to 20, their Teen from 21 to 40, their Adult from 41 to 200, their Mature from 201 to 250, their Old Age from 251 upward, and their Venerable status Age group generally being considered "older than 300 years."

Powers: Molemen have Nightvision and Super Senses - Hearing (Super Hearing) (Wondrous).

King Stiggo differs from typical Molemen by having Astounding Strength. Queen Moletta has typical abilities but also has Emotion Control - Narrow Effect Limitation - Astounding Beauty (Astounding) which acts to capture the attention and desire of all red-blooded men in standard range. It also causes a lot of fights. One of her suitors, Lugi, is a typical Moleman other than his Fighting which is Fantastic and his Agility which is World Class.

Molemen keep and breed Ozixes as guardian animals and even pets.

MOLEMEN

Molemen are an offshoot of humanity that has become a pair of isolated subterranean green-skinned races.

Through occasional stealthy contact with the surface world, Molemen speak the local regional languages of the areas beneath which they live, as well as their own archaic language resembling a cross between Sanskrit and Aramaic.

OZIX

Ozixes are a prehistoric species once common along the rivers and streams of the prehistoric region which eventually became the Congo River. Their long crocodile-like muzzles adapted them perfectly to catch even the largest and most dangerous fish and crocodiles of the river system.

Now believed extinct in the surface world, the flooded caverns and fish-filled underground waterfall fed pools of Molerea are now their main breeding ground.

Ozixes have a pantherine body and markings similar to a leopard. Melanistic and albino Ozixes are also known to exist.

ST. MARTIN'S LAND

St. Martin's Land is a single massive cavern pierced by a myriad of winding narrow tunnels upwards. It is almost a mile below ground, occupying a vast region beneath southern England.

Microstate Notes:

• St. Martin's Land has a massive smoking green crystal in the ceiling of its cave that functions to both provide soft light and create a form of clouds and light rain.
• The Green Woolpit Children were lost young ones from this ancient microstate.

MOLEREA

Molerea is a sprawling series of large caverns punctuated by deep shafts rising over a mile to the surface world. These shafts are all extremely unstable and frequently become closed off due to collapse.

Microstate Notes:

• Molerea varies in lighting conditions from direct light from the surface through its large shafts, torchlight from burning wood torches in mazes of corridors, and pitch darkness where only the natural caverns exist, sometimes with stone or rope bridges across the depths of the largest caves. Kaiju of some kind slumber in these dark and very deep caves.
• Molerea is in a state of permanent war against the barbaric kingdom of the Blue Dwarves.
